   Polyoxymethylene rod (polyoxymethylene copolymer), commonly known as POM-C, is a sturdy, rigid semi crystalline thermoplastic with excellent sliding performance, high mechanical strength, and outstanding impact and wear resistance. Delrin resin (polyoxymethylene or POM) is an engineering thermoplastic based on formaldehyde polymerization technology. Polyoxymethylene resin has high tensile strength, stiffness, elasticity, fatigue resistance, low friction coefficient against metals, polyoxymethylene, and other plastics, as well as moderate toughness.

   Polyoxymethylene has excellent creep resistance. Moisture, lubricants, and solvents have little effect on this performance, which is crucial for components using self tapping screws or interference fit. Polyoxymethylene copolymer maintains most of its toughness over a wide temperature range and has the strongest creep resistance among crystalline thermoplastic materials.
